Wuhan again!

13 November 2013 | China, Wuhan
As I mentioned in my last trip report I was a witness of a pickpocketing act, which I then reported to the police and they were able to actually catch the pickpocket.
Not a lot happened after this; I tried to catch up with my study because I missed some classes during Myanmar. There I learned that Chinese group assignments can be quite fun. The presentation was given in English and I was quite surprised that no one actually wanted to give the 5 minute presentation (two persons of each group need to give the presentation), and that it took a really long time to settle who was the other person to give the presentation. Now for one thing I have learned is that the Chinese people are really shy! Then it comes down to their presentations which are just plain boring to listen to unless they make some kind of mistake. I recall one of the best mistakes so far being one told by an American teacher to me. After a job interview the student stated: thank you for wasting your time with me.
Now my last week in Wuhan has been quite surprising. I woke up with a sore throath and then a few days later I had a fever. I decided to go to see a doctor and he said I had to stay in hospital for a few days (turned about to be a week). Now one thing I didn't image doing was staying in a hospital during my 6 month trip. The hospital itself was actually quite okay, except for the fact that you have to arrange your food yourself (which is quite a pain, since there is no real restaurant at the hospital and you can't leave the hospital area). It turned out that I had some bacterial infection of my throath, they gave me some medicines and then after one week I could go (that was last Tuesday). Now I am catching up with the study again, since next week most of my courses will finish.
After next week I plan to go to Yichang (Three gorges dam), Shanghai and Zhangjiajie. Then in December I will finish my study in China (the 15th). I am still making plans on what to do from December until the end of January but I am sure I will figure out.
